State Library . Thomas Stickel, retired truck driver Thomas J. Stickel, 84, of Connellsville, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, at Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. He was born March 12, 1910, in Connellsville, a son of the late Otto and Lola Austin Stickel. He was a lifelong resident of Connellsville, and a former truck driver for the former Stickel Trucking Co., Connellsville. He was also a a former Connellsville Township supervisor. He was a member of the Connellsville B.P.O. Elks No. 503 and the Connellsville Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Connellsville.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Anna V. Sheard Stickel; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph A. (Rae) Orlando of Vanderbilt; four grandchildren, a great-grandchild; a brother, Karl Stickel of Connellsville; and a sister, Mrs. Mason (Mildred) Whipkey of Connellsville. He was predeceased by a twin brother, Richard Stickel.
