"Verna Wagner Is Bride Of Richard A. Stickel. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Wagner of East Gibson avenue announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Verna Wagner, to Richard A. Stickel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Stickel of East Cedar avenue. The ceremony took place Friday evening at 8 o'clock at the parsonage of the First Baptist Church in Wills road. The pastor, Rev. J. S. Brownlee, officiated, using the bonds of gold ceremony. Attendants were the bridegroom's parents.The bride is a graduate of the Class of 1935 of the High School. The bridegroom is employed in the freight delivery department of the West Penn Railways Company.After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the Stickel home for immediate members of the two families.Mr. and Mrs. Stickel will reside with the bride's parents until the completion of their new home in Sycamore street."

"Richard Stickel Richard A. Stickel, 73, of 1615 E. Crawford Ave., Connellsville, died Sunday at the H. C. Frick Community Hospital, Mount Pleasant. He was born March 12, 1910, in Connellsville, a son of the late Otto B. and Lola Austin Stickel. He was a resident of Connellsville for most of his life. He was owner/operator of the Stickel Trucking Co., a private trucking business. Surviving are his wife, Verna Wagner Stickel, two sons, Richard W. of Point Breeze; Robert A. of Brunswick, Ohio; seven grandchildren;; one great-grandchild; two brothers, his twin brother, Thomas J. of Connellsville, and Karl F. of Connellsville, and one sister, Mrs. Mason (Mildred) Whipkey of Connellsville.Stickel - died Sunday, Oct. 23, 1983. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Shellhammer officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park."
