Obituary for Rose
Rose Mildred Lutz, 85, of 1615 Second Ave. SE died Wednesday at Americana Health care center following an extended illness.
A lifetime Linn County resident, Rose Mildred Bluski was born Nov. 10, 1895, in Cedar Rapids where she married Harry Ray Lutz in 1917. He died in 1940. She lived in the area that is now known as Hiawatha during the early years of her married life and resided in Cedar Rapids for the past 40 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Walter A. Kinch of Cedar Rapids; one son Harry W. of rural Toddville; and six grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Turner Chapel East by Dr. Glenn N. Bender of First Congregational Church. Burial: Shiloh Cemetey. Friends may call at the chapel after noon today where the family will greet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The casket will be closed at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and opened after services.
