Comments: Susan Stickles b. c. 1806 m. 16 Oct 1824 (Sussex County marriage record) Daniel Steel. On 26 Jan 1827 (D3:229) Daniel Steel bought a house lot in the village of Newton. Five months later (F3:185) Daniel and his wife Susan sold it. On 21 Oct 1851 (M4:442) Daniel bought a 1 acre lot on the north side of the village of Newton, on the road to Lafayette (route 206). In 1851 (M4:215) and in 1859 (X4:77) he signed as one of the trustees of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Newton. Enumerated in Newton in 1850. Susan d. 19 Sept 1862 56y. On 11 July 1863 (E5:363) Daniel conveyed part of his house lot to Whitman D. Steel. On 1 May 1868 (C6:335) Daniel and Whitman jointly purchased a lot in the new Newton Cemetery.	Source: J.
