Marilynn L. Parsons Price 57, died April 23, 2004 at Ruth Lilly Yellow Rose Hospice. Born August 16, 1946 in McKees Rocks, PA, Marilynn grew up in Indianapolis.
She was a 1964 graduate of Arlington High School and a 1967 graduate of the former Marion County General Hospital School of Nursing. Early in her career, Marilynn was head nurse of one of the nation's first myocardial infraction researchcoronary care units located at the now Wishard Memorial Hospital. Her career included serving as both Assistant and Acting Director of Nursing at Hendricks County Hospital, Director of Nursing for Miller's Merry Manor Castleton facility and Director of Operations for Walker Clinical Evaluations. The past 10 years, Marilynn has been with Methodist Medical Group Quality Management Services. Marilynn dedicated herself to excellence in nursing and medical care. Marilynn would want to be remembered as someone who loved life, people, laughter, the good times she shared with her friends and someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
She is survived by her sister Susan K. Baker, several aunts, uncles, cousins and many many "Best Friends." Visitation will be at the Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center - Speedway Sunday, April 25 from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral will be Monday, April 26 at 1 p.m. at the funeral center. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and the Ruth Lilly Yellow Rose Hospice.
